Israel Open 2016 (G-1): Spain finishes on top with 4 golds as Russia takes 3

The 14th edition of the Israel Taekwondo Open was successfully held last November 27th in Ramla with Spain as the nation with more titles in the event with a total of 4 gold medals. Russia finished in second place with 3 titles, while Greece and Sweden grabbed two gold medals.

The members of the Spanish team who climbed to the top of the podium were: Caballero, who reigned in Men’s -63 kg after getting rid of Mecmajer from Poland in the final clash; Perez, who defeated local hope Braginski for the Men’s -68 kg title; Quesada, who beat Grammatikopoulos from Greece in the Men’s -74 kg crucial fight; and Simon, who proved to be the strongest in Women’s -73 kg after edging her compatriot Martinez to taste glory.
