Mexico standed out as the strongest nation at Argentina Open 2015 with a total of 4 gold medals, followed by Argentina and Brazil, who managed to clinch 3 titles each. USA and Canada took 2 golds, while Chile and Kazakhstan climbed once to the top of the podium in Seniors.
The main names of the Mexican success in Costa Salguero were Carlos Navarro, champion of the Men’s 58 kg division after beating Brazilian Da Silva in the final by a comfortable 10-2, Misael Lopez, winner in the Men’s -87 kg category after defeating Bergeron from Canada by 4-3 in the crucial fight, Itzel Manjarrez, who climbed to the top of the Women’s -49 kg division after getting rid of Rios from Chile by 2-1 in the final, and Maria Espinoza, who added another gold to her collection by edging Pereira from Brazil 4-3 in the final match.
