Beirut Open 2019 (G-1): Jordan reigns with 5 Senior titles
Lebanon reaches a total of 4 gold medals, while Ivory Coast grabs 2

Jordan shone over the rest of countries involved in the Senior class of the 2019 edition of the Beirut Open 2019, which was held in the capital of Lebanon last weekend.
Jodan Senior athletes collected a total of 5 titles, one more than the local representatives, who clinched no less than 4. The other two nations to win more than 1 gold medal in the event were Ivory Coast and Egypt, with 2, while Syria, Turkey and Congo bagged 1 each.
The makers of the Jordan success in Beirut were: Zaid Alhalawani, who proved to be the best in Men’s -63 kg after getting rid of Al Iedani from Iraq by 18-3; Zaid Kareem, who dominated the Men’s -68 kg division after defeating Abdelmoneim from Egypt by 20-7 in the big final of the draw; Bana Daraghmi, who shone over the rest of competitors in the Women’s -49 kg class after beating Haddad from Lebanon by withdrawal; Julyana Al-Sadeq, who left no chance for the rest of fighters in Women’s -67 kg to taste glory after edging Azar from Lebanon by a clear 33-0 in the final; and Seham Almahmoud, who became the new Women’s -73 kg champion after outscoring the local Boustany by 26-7 for the title.
