Why did Daedo develop a new version of e-foot protectors?

Since the 2G Black version, fake and manipulated e-foot protectors have been found in some Taekwondo competitions.
In London 2012 Olympic Games, a new version was introduced and given for free to all athletes in order to avoid this problem at such an important event.
After London 2012, Daedo started to develop a system to identify fake e-foot protectors and stopped producing the 2G Black version.
The 4G Grey version incorporates such system with a NFC chip, and the 3G Grey version is the one in between the 2G Black and 4G Grey – Olympic version without the authenticity check system.
From the 2014 World Junior Championships onwards, Daedo will verify very strictly all e-foot protectors at WTF competitions (from G-1 upwards) in order to avoid the use of any fake or manipulated e-foot protectors. Daedo has also developed a system to verify the sensors of the e-foot protectors in order to detect any manipulations.

In order for athletes to have a better performance, Daedo does not recommend the use of the same e-foot protector in both training and competition for more than 1 year.
*Daedo will sell 4G e-foot protectors at the sales booth in Taipei, during the Youth Olympic Games Qualification Tournament and WTF World Junior Championships.
