Daedo PSS, confirmed for Suzhou and Queretaro Grand Prixes
The WTF has confirmed that the PSS (Protector and Scoring System) designed by the Spanish brand Daedo will be used at Suzhou, China (4-6 July 2014) and Queretaro, Mexico (13-14 December 2014) Grand Prixes.
Last year, Daedo won the tender to provide its PSS for the Grand Prix events in 2013 (Manchester) and 2014 (3 events) thanks to an attractive sponsorship offer combined with a succesful result of the evalution made by WTF Technical Committee and the PSS Working Group.
However, Daedo decided to give up one of the 2014 events so that the WTF could assign it to another company under the terms and conditions previously arranged.
After all these discussions, the contract between Daedo and the WTF for the 2013 and 2014 Grand Prixes was finally agreed.
Initially, there were a total of 3 Grand Prix events scheduled for 2014, but during the Taipei General Assembly held last March, it was decided to add one more event to the current year calendar. This event will be the Manchester Grand Prix, which will take place between the 24th and 26th of October. The PSS selection for this competition will be communicated after another request for bids has been made, as it was not included in the contracted signed by Daedo and the WTF in 2013.
