
European Cadet Championships in Georgia
Just as the World Qualification Tournament in Azerbaijan finished on July 3rd, the European teams were busy preparing for the next event.
The 4th European Taekwondo Cadet Championships started in July 7th at the Tbilisi Sports Palace in Tbilisi, Georgia. This continental event has gathered 316 competitors from 36 European countries.

The opening ceremony was witnessed by several European federation presidents and team managers, where Georgian Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Vladimer Vardzelashvili emphasized how “important this event was for stimulating the development of Olympic Taekwondo in Georgia” and was “thankful to the European Taekwondo Union for trusting in Georgia to host such kind of sport event”.

The championship will run through July 10th, with a total of 10 weight classes per each division, male and female.
