Indian National Championship held in Delhi
The 30th Indian National Taekwondo Championship was held from Feb. 15 to Feb. 17 at Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex in Delhi.
Altogether 700 taekwondo players participated in the Championship and Korean Ambassador to India, Kim Joong-geun, attended the opening ceremony.
From his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Kim expressed his gratitude to Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) for its hard efforts to introduce and spread taekwondo in the country.
At the opening ceremony, Korean taekwondo master Lee Jeong-hee, who has been dispatched to India from Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters), received an appointment certificate as a coach of Indian national taekwondo team.
Indian taekwondo team led by Master Lee is going to participate in World Junior Taekwondo Championship in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt in April, and Asian Taekwondo Championship in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in May this year.
