Dae-Hoon Lee, still popular despite his disqualification at Korean National Sports Festival
The silver medalist in London 2012 Olympic Games Dae-Hoon Lee had a disappointing performance in the Korean National Games, where he lost his first round combat of the Bantam’s draw. But despite this premature disqualification, his popularity doesn´t seem to be affected.
The Korean fighter represented Seoul in the 93rd edition of the Korean National Sports Festival, which finished last October the 11th, in the under 63 kg category, and was beaten by Soo-bong Wi from Ulsan in a first round combat which was decided in the extra round.
Even so, his popularity as a Taekwondo star remains intact. The day after the fight, an autograph session was organized at the Festival’s venue for him to attend his fans and they made up a really long queue. This was the only autograph session organized during the event.
