[Results Day 4]2012 European Taekwondo Championships

On the 4th and last day of the 2012 European Taekwondo Championships Turkey clinched 3 gold medals in the female bantam, welter and male feather categories. Hatice Kubra Yangin (-53kg) beat Croatian Ana Zaninovic 1-0 in a tight match, and Nur Tatar (-67kg) won 11-5 against her French opponent Haby Niare. However, Servet Tazegul (-68kg) won a gold medal without having the chance to fight his opponent Filip Grgic. The Croatian athlete withdrew from the final match after being injured in the semifinal against British athlete Martin Stamper.

Winners of Male -68kg (Feather) category: 1. Servet Tazegul (Turkey) 2. Filip Grgic (Croatia) 3. Martin Stamper (Great Britain) and Stylianos Mechteridis (Greece).
In the male light category, another Turkish made it to the final, but lost the gold medal against Aliaskhab Sirazhov (Russia) with a tight score of 5-6.
France got the first place in the overall female ranking, with 3 gold medals, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals; followed by Turkey, which clinched 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal. The following places were for Croatia, Russia and Greece.

Overall Female Ranking: France, Turkey, Croatia, Russia, Greece.
In the overall male ranking, Great Britain got the first place with 3 golds and 2 bronze medals. The second place in the ranking went to Russia, which won 2 gold medals, followed by Turkey. Italy and Spain ended up both in the same position, with 1 gold and 1 bronze medal.
