Sofia Open 2020 (G-1): Serbia reigns with 6 titles
Greece grabs 3 gold medals, while Austria, Palestina, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Macedonia take 1 each

Serbia proved to be the strongest nation at Sofia International Taekwondo Open 2020 after winning 6 gold medals in the Senior division of the competition, which was held in the capital of Bulgaria last weekend.
Greece was the second most sucessful country with 3 titles, while Austria, Palestina, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Macedonia took 1 gold medal each to complete the 15 draws in competition.
The 6 golden fighters for Serbia in Sofia last Sunday were: Mahdi Khodabakhshi, who reigned in Men’s -87 kg after getting rid of Tzellos from Greece by withdrawal in the final; Vanja Stankovic, who took the highest step on the Women’s -49 kg podium after defeating Kouttouki from Cyprus by 16-4 in the gold medal match; Nadica Bozanic, who shone over the rest of contestants in Women’s -62 kg after edging Patakfalvy from Hungary by a clear 21-1; Nadja Savkovic, who dominated the Women’s -67 kg class after outscoring Furedi from Hungary by 10-6 in the last fight of the draw; and Aleksandra Perisic, who set the standard in Women’s -67 kg after beating her compatriot Nina Perisic by 21-10 to taste glory in Sofia.
