Thai Tourism and Sports Leaders Visit to TPF

On the 1st of February 2012, 19 tourism and sports leaders from Thailand visited Taekwondo Promotion Foundation (TPF) to learn about the Taekwondo Park project.
Mr. Nilmanee Sriboon, President of Asian Association for Sports Management, Mr. Tinnakorn Numboonjitta, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Pimol Srivikorn, President of Thai Taekwondo Association were in the group.
At TPF, the Thai group had slide and video presentations on construction and preparation of the Park followed by a question and answer session with TPF officials.
At the meeting with Thai group, TPF Chairman Bae Jong-shin said that “The Taekwondo Park will be the hub of taekwondo education, training, research and exchange. I hope that Thai taekwondo practitioners will actively participate in the Park programs to improve their skills."
In this regard, Nilmanee Sriboon, representative of the Thai group, said that “The construction of the Taekwondo Park has a significant meaning for world taekwondoists as well as for other sports people. I will be surely visiting the Park when it is completed in 2013.”
Thailand is going to dispatch 3 players to taekwondo competition of 2012 London Olympic Games. Taekwondo, boxing, and weight-lifting are the most favorable sports for Thailand to get medals from London Games.
