WT 2019 competition kicks off with Fujairah and Cyprus Opens (G-1)
The first events on the World Taekwondo 2019 calendar will kick off this weekend in UAE and Cyprus. The 7th Fujairah Open and the 2019 Cyprus Open, both of them G-1 category events, will begin today and will last until next Sunday.
Fujairah Open 2019
The action will be divided into the three days of competition, which starts today Friday with the Kids and Cadet divisions. Saturday will be the day for the Junior categories and the Senior athletes will step on the rings on Sunday to wrap up the event.
A total of 957 fighters, including Kids, Cadets, Juniors and Seniors, will make the crowd at Zayed Sports Complex enjoy our sport at the highest level. The PSS used during the competition will be Daedo Gen2.
Cyprus Open 2019
The 2019 edition of the Cyprus Open will begin today with all the Cadet divisions in scene. Tomorrow, Saturday, will be the time for the next category, Juniors, who till take the courts to complete all the weight divisions from early in the morning, leaving the final day for the main attractions of the event, the Senior fighters. The spectators at the Kition Sport Hall of Larnaka will have the opportunity to see some of the best competitors in the continent live.
The PSS system used during the competition will be Daedo Gen2.
A total of 427 competitors will be in action combining all three categories.
